At Legafit Solicitors we pride ourselves on being client centric. Our client centric approach isreflected in everything we do including our fees. We believe that our clients deserve toknow the costs associated with their legal work, and we do all we can to ensure that theyhave control over how they pay and when they pay.
Fixed Fees
That’s why we offer our clients fixed fee quotes relating to most of services so that theyhave certainty in relation to costs.
At the very outset, your immigration lawyer will speak to you in detail to understand yourobjectives and reach an agreement with you both in relation to the scope of work and thetimeframe within which the work will be carried out. Once we know the scope of the workthat needs to be carried out and when it needs to be completed by, we will offer you anumber of fixed fee options to choose from that will cover the work that needs to be carried out.
Once we agree a fixed fee with you, it is your responsibility to provide us with the necessaryinformation and supporting documentation to carry out the agreed scope of work within theagreed timeframe. If the agreed scope of work or the agreed timeframe changes for reasonsbeyond our control, we will agree a revised fixed fee after a discussion with you.
There are some matters, however, where due to the complexity of issues involved and theuncertainty relating to the amount of time required to bring them to a close, it may not bepossible to offer fixed fee quotes. In these instances, we divide the work into separatemilestones and offer fixed fee quotes in relation each milestone. We believe this providesour client with transparency over how costs are calculated whilst also providing them thecertainty of knowing what the overall costs will be.
Competitive Fees
We offer very competitive fees to all our clients. We have adapted our approach to handlingclient matters with the use of technology to ensure that we continuously reduce our ownfixed costs with a view to passing on the savings to our clients. We continue to explore waysin which we can reduce our own expenses so that we can offer lower fees to our clients.
When we agree fees in relation to your work, we incorporate as much of the expensesassociated with the completion of the work as possible within the agreed fees. For example,we do not charge separately for telephone calls, photocopying, printing, document storageor posting.
Please note, however, that where additional expenses are incurred outside of the agreedscope of work or as a result of special requests made by our clients, we will chargeseparately for those expenses.
Any costs arising from the handling of your matter that are payable to third parties (alsoknown as disbursements) are not included in our fees and will need to be paid separately. These costs include, but are not limited to, Home Office Application fees, HIS fees, Courtand Tribunal fees, expert fees, interpreting/ translation fees and travel fees (where travel isrequested by the client).
